Abstract

|
(+)-Ketoprofen was obtained from resolution with (S) (+)-2-amino 1 butanol and its absolute configuration was determined to be (S) by chemical correlation with (S) (+)-ethyl hydratropate using Beckmann rearrangement as a key step.
